more digi pages

Some more digi pages I worked on today and again, more awesome digi kits from the Shabby Princess Shoppe.

I'm pretty sure the date on this page is wrong - so is it 05 or 06???

New digi pages

A few digi pages I made last night using an awesome kit that I bought from Shabby Princess.

A parent is a parent is a parent....

In my endless quest to be "the perfect mother" I sometimes forget that I am measuring myself against other mothers (and parents for that matter) who struggle with the same issues and challenges that I do every day. I like to believe, for some crazy reason though, that parents really are who you see at school or at the park or church or in a store on the weekend. But they really aren't are they? You get to see exactly what they want you to see and you get to hear exactly what they want you to hear when "swapping" stories. I have to admit that I do put on my very best face when out in public and faced with the possibility of running into or even being observed by another parent or family within our social circle. I am a little kinder, a little more patient and all of my manners are on the front line - as I am sure it is with every other mother in the world. Every so often, however, I get a little gift of reality where I get to see a parent as who they truly are. Frustration, lack of patience and raw emotion and never do I judge these parent's but rather I take a step back and a small sigh of relief and realize...We are all spectacular parents on the outside but at home we are doing the best we can with what we have and we are truly good, good people at heart just feeling our way along. At the end of the day I am always thankful that my beautiful daughter never denies me a hug with her tiny arms, a kiss with her sweet little lips and a sweet "i love you momma" because she truly does believe that I am spectacular and that should be all that I need.

While we try to teach our children all about life, Our children teach us what life is all about.
